The Islington Liberal Democrats local party for years has asked for a voluntary donation from conference reps to provide financial help to those who would otherwise struggle to be able to go to conference. With the move to one-member, one-vote meaning that conference reps are being abolished, the system now is a little different but the request for donations to fund more access to conference is still there:

This is a great supplement to the national Conference Access Fund the party runs – and if your local party doesn’t do something similar to the local Islington fund, why not suggest introducing it in future?
